Baking Dish – This lovely salad gets a light toast in the oven, so have a medium-sized baking dish or lined baking sheet ready for this recipe.

Paprikas – Paprika peppers are long red peppers largely grown in Hungary. They are known for their bright color long shape, large size, and uniquely sweet and spicy flavor. Most paprika peppers are grown to be made into spice but when enjoyed fresh they have a lovely bold and mildly sweet flavor.

These tasty peppers can be just the thing for your health. They have plenty of fiber for digestion but possibly the most noteworthy component in paprika is called capsaicin. This chemical is present in all peppers and it has a powerful anti-inflammatory nature that can help with pain management and swelling.

Tomatoes – Fresh slices of tomato bring juicy freshness to the recipe. They are loaded with sweet and vegetative flavors that please practically everyone’s palate! To make this dish pop choose medium-sized tomatoes like Roma or plum tomatoes for their firm texture and perfect size.

Mozzarella Balls Amazingly soft and smooth mozzarella is the cornerstone of any Caprese recipe. It has the mild and soft cheesy flavor you need to make a decadent Mediterranean dish. Balls of fresh mozzarella are the best choice for this warm and melty pepper-centric dish!

Fresh Basil – Leaves of fresh basil bring a wonderfully sweet herbaceous, and leafy aroma to this classic update. Basil doesn’t just smell great, it tastes so fresh and leafy that it’s practically irresistible. Also, basil is packed with free radical-fighting antioxidants so a little of this fresh herb can go a long way toward warding off preventable diseases.

Olive Oil – Awesome olive oil coats all the ingredients in a thin layer of fat so when they bake everything gets lusciously tender and golden brown.

Pine Nuts – This fresh and crunchy ingredient is actually seeds from pine trees. They have a distinctive piny flavor and behind their crunch they have a satisfying tenderness inside. Pine nuts also bring plenty of iron, magnesium, and protein to the dish.

Salt and Pepper – Sea salt and black pepper are just the thing to highlight the naturally sweet and savory flavors in this dish.
